About Rick
Founding NovusGC was the natural extension of Rick’s three decades of experience in legal and business roles helping startups, innovators and investors navigate legal and transactional needs from idea to market.
Rick has deep experience in:
corporate formation, governance and financings from senior roles at large law firms in Palo Alto and Los Angeles;
General Counsel service from roles with public and venture-backed technology companies; and
licensing and commercial contracts from leading the technology transfer licensing teams at two major universities.
Rick has been teaching Technology Transactions at the USC Gould School of Law as an Adjunct Professor since 2015, and frequently speaks and hosts workshops on topics including corporate formation and financing, pitching investors, university licensing and open source.
